Liothyronine Sodium description

T3 – Cytomel (lithothyronine sodium)

Cytomel is the most common trade name for the synthetic thyroid hormone liothyronine sodium. This hormone is a copy of the natural thyroid hormone triiodothyronine, also known as T3.

Although cytomel was synthesised in the 1950s, thyroid hormones only began to be used in clinical practice in the 1980s. the first thyroid treatments were carried out using pure animal extracts of the hormones t3 and t4. These treatments have proven to be very successful, particularly in the treatment of hypothyroidism, where the thyroid gland does not produce enough of these hormones, which can lead to obesity, energy loss, hair loss and changes in skin texture.

Cytomel is not the only synthetic thyroid hormone. A T4 hormone called levothyroxine sodium salt is also available under the name Synthroid. T3 and T4 are very similar, but T3 is considered to be 4-5 times more effective than T4. T4 is, simply put, a backup hormone to T3, and although both hormones are effective in treating hypothyroidism, Cytomel is preferred by athletes.

Functions of Cytomel

Cytomel, or T3, is a thyroid hormone that significantly increases metabolism. This hormone is involved in many cellular functions such as the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. Hypothyroidism significantly slows down the metabolism of nutrients, which is why it is usually very difficult for people to lose weight and gain weight easily.

The dose of Cytomel needed to treat hypothyroidism is small, so it does not always lead to an increase in subcutaneous fat burning, but it is enough to restore normal metabolism.

T3 - Cytomel (lithothyronine sodium)

When used as a fat-burning agent, Cytomel is very effective and the dose used for this purpose is usually higher than the therapeutic dose. Since the use of Cytomel for this purpose is in most cases associated with a restrictive diet, its use in addition to anabolic steroids is NOT RECOMMENDED. Cytomel reduces ATP (adenosine triphosphate) levels, which can lead to a reduction in muscle mass during caloric restriction.

Effects of Cytomel use
Regardless of the use, Cytomel works in the same way – mimicking the all-natural T3 hormone and optimising metabolism. Of course, in order for the effect of Cytomel on burning subcutaneous fat to be real and powerful, the use of Cytomel must be accompanied by a proper diet.

When Cytomel is used in conjunction with a less restrictive diet, the athlete will find that he or she can consume significantly more calories, but the amount of subcutaneous fat will not increase, and in some cases the fat content may even decrease.

In some circles, it is believed that the use of Cytomel in combination with anabolic steroids can significantly increase their effectiveness, starting with the basic principle of this hormone. Although this has not been confirmed in actual studies, taking Cytomel in combination with anabolic steroids ensures that your metabolism is fully optimized.

Functions of Cytomel

Side effects of Cytomel use

Cytomel is considered a very well tolerated product, any side effects are most commonly due to overdose and are :

Headache
Sweating
Irregular heartbeat
Nervousness
Abdominal cramps
Abnormal menstrual cycle (women)
Very high doses of Cytomel or excessive use over a long period of time may cause the following complications:

Angina pectoris
Shock
Heart failure
Hyperthyroidism
As mentioned above, Cytomel is a well tolerated product, but its abuse can lead to serious health problems.

The last side effect to mention is the likelihood of developing hypothyroidism as a result of Cytomel use. Many people fear that stopping Cytomel will prevent their own reproduction. Even if this is the case, restoration of T3 production is not a problem if the product is used judiciously and appropriately and if it is assumed that the athlete’s metabolism was functioning normally before starting to use the product.

Use of Cytomel

In therapeutic practice in the treatment of hypothyroidism, the dose of Cytomel starts at 25 mcg per day. After a few weeks, the dose can be increased by a further 25 mcg and, if necessary, up to 75 mcg/day.

For sports, Cytomel doses are similar. The athlete usually starts with a dose of 25 mcg and increases as needed every 2-4 weeks. In most athletes, the dose should not exceed 75-100 mcg, and in some cases a dose of 125 mcg may be used for short periods.

Side effects of Cytomel use

Cytomel is the well-known trade name for the sodium salt of the synthetic thyroid hormone, liothyronine. It is a perfect copy of the natural thyroid hormone, triiodothyronine, called T3 hormone. Synthetic Cytomel has been available since the 1950s, and thyroid hormones, including T3, have been used in medicine since the 1890s. Early thyroid treatment plans consisted of pure animal extracts and contained pure forms of T3 and T4 hormones. Thyroid hormone extracts have proven to be very useful in therapeutic treatment plans, particularly in the treatment of hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism is a condition in which the thyroid gland ceases to produce sufficient amounts of thyroid hormone, which can lead to weight gain, loss of energy, hair loss and changes in the appearance and texture of the skin. Introduction of Cytomel,

Cytomel is not the only synthetic thyroid hormone available. The T4 hormone, levothyroxine sodium, is also available under the trade name Synthroid. T3 and T4 are very similar, but T3 is considered 4 to 5 times more potent than T4. In other words, T4 acts as a reserve for T3, which is why the Cytomel version is more potent than both popular thyroid hormones. While both are effective in treating hypothyroidism, Cytomel is the thyroid hormone of choice for performance-enhancing athletes. Anabolic steroid users often use Cytomel to get rid of fat.

Use of Cytomel

Buy Cytomel because it is not an anabolic steroid, but only a thyroid hormone that is used medically to successfully treat conditions such as obesity, fat metabolism disorders and increased fatigue. More specifically, the product itself is a pharmaceutical agent that is actively used in sports as a powerful fat burner. The main ingredient is the natural thyroid hormone triiodothyronine T3.
